Application : DTMF CLI Provision & Call Center Applications 
Platform : HP - UX 9.0X on HP workstation 9000/715 
Highlights :

The Project involves development of Caller ID provision Facility for the EPABX Systems. Line card as well as the Trunk card has been modified to  provide the facility. However, the main activity for the project has been Software development for the same as well as Software development on Windows platform for supporting Call Center Features.

The Call Center Features on the Windows platform has been implemented using the Socket Programming through Visual Basic. The features include Screen POP-Ups on User PCs, Caller ID based Call Vectoring, Call Logging, Call screening/Call rejection, Distinctive ringing etc.  
Call Center application works on the Client-Server Principles. The EPABX and LAN integration has been achieved through RS-232 port of a PC using OKI contention - B protocol. Terminal that is connected with the EPABX works as the server for the Call-Center applications. All other terminals on the same LAN are the clients of this application.  

Remaining Software portion has been implemented through 'C' language. Call Processing section of the system software has been modified to capture caller ID in the system as well as for reception of the same on the Display phones attached with the system. Caller ID is also displayed on Caller ID devices if they are connected in parallel with the extensions.
